Clinical Placement Operations Manager

About the role

The Clinical Placement Operations Manager oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the clinical education component of the Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) program. This role ensures that placement opportunities for over 700 annual student placements are delivered in line with program goals, accreditation standards, and the distributed sites across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of clinical education for the MPT program.
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical education policies and procedures.
• Coordinate placement logistics across multiple sites (Vancouver, Surrey, Prince George, Victoria, Okanagan).
• Monitor student progress and performance during clinical placements.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, PT Programs, Associate Head of Clinical Education, and site managers to provide academic support.
• Support the delivery of 700+ annual student clinical placements.

Required profile

• Experience in managing educational or clinical placement operations.
• Ability to work independently under general direction.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards for health‑professional programs.
• Effective communication and teamwork with faculty, staff, and external clinical partners.
