Clinical Independent Rater (French Speaking)

About the role

The Clinical Independent Rater (CIR) ensures the integrity and reliability of clinical trial data by reviewing scales administered by raters and confirming standardized assessment practices. The position is remote/virtual in Canada, with an estimated workload of 10 to 16 hours per month.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in all required orientation, training and calibration activities.
• Review case data and prepare for rater discussions, making sure all relevant documents and scale items are ready.
• Conduct live interactions with raters, giving feedback and guidance on assessment methodology and scoring.
• Complete assigned tasks and rater interactions according to schedule.
• Submit all required documentation accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work (or equivalent); MD, DO or PhD preferred.
• At least 3 years administering psychiatric assessments, rating scales and/or structured clinical interviews (MINI and MADRS).
• At least 3 years of clinical experience with psychiatric populations.
• At least 3 years administering scales in clinical research trials (excluding graduate/doctoral research); CNS trial experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and native-level French.

Required skills

• Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management and problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
