Clinical Application Specialist

About the role

The Clinical Application Specialist will become an expert on our transcatheter heart valve (THV) products and support physicians and clinical teams across Canada. The role combines product education, hands‑on device preparation, and procedural guidance to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire in‑depth knowledge of THV therapies and their clinical applications.
• Educate physicians, cardiologists, and surgeons on the THV procedure, achieving expert proficiency.
• Attend implant cases, perform device preparation and crimping, and provide real‑time support.
• Manage complaint handling processes when required.
• Support cases outside the primary region on an as‑needed basis.
• Collaborate with Regional/Territory Managers to define site selection criteria.
• Partner with proctors and the sales organization to plan and deliver training for physicians and support staff.
• Assist in therapy awareness programs and advise on patient selection.
• Contribute to the development of THV procedures in both cardiology and cardiac surgery.

Required profile

• Strong clinical background in cardiology or cardiac surgery.
• Excellent communication skills for physician education.
• Ability to travel across Canada and work on‑site during procedures.
