Cleanroom Technician – Sterile Compounding

About the role
Royal Drugs’ Burnaby sterile compounding facility is seeking a Cleanroom Technician to support the preparation of intravenous admixtures and other sterile products. The role involves working in a regulated cleanroom environment to ensure safe, high‑quality infusion therapy for patients receiving care at home.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies in the dispensary to meet compounding demand.
- Prepare, process, dispense and compound intravenous admixtures such as antibiotics and total parenteral nutrition according to work instructions.
- Pick, inspect, verify and disinfect all components against order sheets before compounding.
- Program and verify infusion pump parameters under pharmacist supervision.
- Perform validation, calibration and microbiological monitoring of equipment.
- Assist with cleaning of equipment, totes and work surfaces to maintain cleanroom compliance.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience in a pharmacy practice setting.
- Secondary school education; additional pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Required skills
- IV experience or experience in a hospital/outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique.
- Validation, calibration and microbiological monitoring.
- Infusion pump programming.
