About the role

Manitoulin Transport in Melfort, Saskatchewan, is expanding to support the growing agriculture and mining sectors in northern Saskatchewan, about two hours northeast of Saskatoon. It is looking for a Class 1 driver to serve a well-established customer base, working Monday to Friday with an average of 10-hour days.

Key responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver freight and obtain customer signatures with a handheld device.
  • Plan, load and unload trailers and use a handheld to record damages and shortages.
  • Complete proper pre-, post- and inter-trip checks.

Required profile

  • Class 1 license required.
  • Knowledge of hours of service and of load securement.
  • Physically fit, reliable, dependable and hard-working, with good customer service skills.
  • Clean criminal record check, driver's abstract and two work-related references.

Required skills

  • ELD (Electronic Logging Device)
  • TDG and WHMIS knowledge
