About the role

Manitoulin Transport, which has provided transportation and logistics solutions across North America for 65 years, is looking for a full-time Class 1 driver for its Whitehorse location. The schedule is Monday to Friday starting at 7:30 am.

Key responsibilities

Able to load and unload freight manually or with a pallet jack or wheeler
Pick up and deliver freight to a variety of customers
Perform daily runs safely and efficiently
Other duties as assigned

Required profile

Class 1 license required
Knowledge of the Whitehorse area is an asset
Good customer service skills
Reliable, dependable and hard-working
Must be able to lift over 50 pounds unassisted
Clean criminal record check, driver's abstract and two work-related references

Required skills

Proper pre-, post- and inter-trip procedures
ELD (Electronic Logging Devices) and hours of service
Load securement, TDG and WHMIS
