Claims Examiner – Property & Casualty (Remote/Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to join Specialty Claims Canada, the in‑house claims management arm of Specialty Programs Group Canada. The successful candidate will adjudicate Personal, Commercial and Specialty Lines Property & Casualty claims across all Canadian provinces, delivering accurate, fair and timely service.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze coverage and assess Personal and Commercial Property & Casualty claims.
• Review reports from adjusters, experts and legal counsel.
• Provide recommendations to Domestic and Lloyd’s of London underwriters on complex claims.
• Ensure adherence to company claims protocols, reserving guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers and other stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property and casualty claims examination or adjustment.
• Strong understanding of Canadian insurance regulations and underwriting practices.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
