Civil Superintendent

About the role

The Civil Superintendent is a full‑time, on‑site leader responsible for daily oversight of civil and earthworks projects in Vancouver. Working closely with project managers, clients and inspectors, you will ensure that all work is executed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate crews and subcontractors, sequencing work to meet project milestones.
• Monitor productivity, quality and safety on site, conducting regular inspections.
• Manage site resources, materials and equipment, ensuring efficient use.
• Maintain field documentation, track progress and report to project management.
• Identify and resolve site issues, supporting budget and timeline adherence.

Required profile

• Several years of supervisory experience in civil construction, excavation and underground utilities.
• Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and survey layouts.
• Effective communication skills and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work in varying weather and field conditions.
