Child Care Provider – Private Home

About the role

We are seeking a caring and reliable child care provider to work in a private home in West Vancouver. The position offers a supportive environment, optional live‑in accommodation, and on‑the‑job training for youth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care.
• Discipline children according to parents' guidelines.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Prepare infants and school‑age children for rest periods.
• Supervise children’s transportation to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being and overall safety.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and medical exam.
• References required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, patience, reliability, and good time‑management.
