Chief of Staff, GM Advertising

About the role

Instacart is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the General Manager of Advertising. This senior partner will act as the connective tissue across a fast‑growing, billion‑dollar retail media platform, ensuring the organization runs smoothly and strategically.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the Ads organization’s operating rhythm, including team meetings, leadership cadences, and communications.
• Prepare crisp briefings, talking points, and research for cross‑functional leaders and external partners.
• Track priority initiatives, surface blockers early, and keep stakeholders aligned to meet deadlines.
• Partner with Finance to provide tight, reliable budget visibility and defend numbers during annual planning.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to the GM, offering strategic counsel while executing on critical tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior operational or strategic roles within fast‑moving organizations.
• Exceptional ability to align cross‑functional teams and drive execution.
• Strong analytical mindset with comfort handling budget and financial data.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leaders and external partners.
