Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operations Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer (CFO/COO) is a senior executive who reports directly to the President & CEO of Rogers Centre Ottawa. This dual role provides strategic leadership across all financial and operational functions of the internationally‑renowned convention centre.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial management, budgeting, capital planning and risk management.
• Lead operational areas including security, human resources, legal, food & beverage, IT partnerships, procurement and governance.
• Drive operational excellence, sustainability initiatives and exceptional client experiences.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors, government stakeholders and business partners to ensure accountability and effective execution.
• Support long‑term growth and financial sustainability of the facility.

Required profile

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with extensive financial leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial and governance responsibilities in a public‑sector or hospitality environment.
• Strong collaborative mindset and relationship‑building skills with senior executives, boards and external stakeholders.
• Passion for tourism, hospitality and community impact.
