Chef – Full‑time Permanent Position

About the role

Sweet Palace Restaurant is seeking an experienced Chef to lead its kitchen operations in Brampton. This permanent, full‑time role involves preparing high‑quality meals, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring excellent service for both daily dining and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate quantities and costs of supplies and food items.
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
• Instruct cooks on preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for banquets and events.
• Supervise a team of 3‑4 cooks and other kitchen personnel.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Consult with clients on weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
