Chef de Partie - Braven

About the role

Braven, a new breed of steakhouse in Edmonton led by award-winning chef Anthony Walsh, is looking for a part-time Chef de Partie. The role shows inspired quality in all work, with a passion for food and cooking, teamwork, initiative and attention to cleanliness and guest requests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform delegated tasks from the Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager
• Prepare food daily according to Oliver & Bonacini standards, following recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications
• Maintain a prep list of station duties and follow the FIFO method to keep food fresh
• Assist with food inventory and control, and help receive and store deliveries
• Clean prep areas, equipment and utensils, and follow sanitation, food safety and hygiene guidelines
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• Culinary diploma or degree is an asset

Required skills

• Basic understanding of professional cooking
• Knife handling skills
