Cement Finisher

About the role

AXXION is seeking a reliable Cement Finisher to work on a variety of construction sites in the Vancouver area. You will be responsible for placing, finishing, and curing concrete to meet project specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement before concrete placement.
• Directly place concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade and depth requirements.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface.
• Apply hand and power tools to achieve the desired finish on concrete surfaces.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
• Apply hardening, sealing, waterproofing, and damp‑proofing components.
• Repair, resurface, or replace damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Physically demanding work with ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility, dependability, and a commitment to safety.
