Catering Service Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Catering Service Manager to oversee daily operations of our restaurant and catering services in Calgary. The role involves managing staff, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements.
• Monitor and assess staff performance.
• Recruit and supervise staff members.
• Determine service offerings and establish operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Negotiate contracts with clients for catering and facility use.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly.
• Provide high‑quality customer service.
• Manage events and coordinate catering logistics.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies.
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
• Organize the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar.

Required profile

• College or other non‑university certificate/diploma (1‑2 years).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in catering or hospitality.
