Casual Steward – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join a progressive, award‑winning hotel in Vancouver as a Casual Steward. You will keep the kitchen and back‑of‑house areas spotless, supporting the culinary and Food & Beverage teams while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and stewarding areas.
• Wash, sanitize and store dishes, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and related equipment.
• Support the culinary team with waste removal, recycling and restocking supplies.
• Assist with receiving, storing and organizing deliveries.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient team environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures.
