Casual Pharmacist – Brockville Mental Health Centre

About the role

The Royal is seeking two casual pharmacists to join the pharmacy team at Brockville Mental Health Centre. This position supports medication distribution, clinical services and quality improvement across all mental health programs, offering flexible day‑shift and on‑call coverage evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate drug distribution ensuring accurate, timely medication flow from procurement to dispensing.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Develop, review and implement processes aligned with Ontario College of Pharmacists inspection criteria and Accreditation Canada standards.
• Participate in medication management activities such as reconciliation, safety reviews, interdisciplinary rounds and drug formulary maintenance.
• Provide drug information, educate patients and health‑care professionals, and support research and policy projects.
• Teach and mentor pharmacy students and other learners.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, PharmD or equivalent recognized by the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Completion of a hospital residency or post‑baccalaureate PharmD program preferred.
• Ability to coach, lead and mentor staff.
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and anti‑racism workplace policies.
