About the role
The Town of Bishop’s Falls is currently accepting applications for casual Operators/Labourers who primarily work in the Public Works Department and may also join the Recreation Department’s casual call‑in list. Wages, benefits and other terms are outlined in the collective agreement with CUPE Local 1349.
Key responsibilities
- Operating heavy equipment to implement public works services and programs.
- Maintaining the Town’s infrastructure.
- Working in the Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium.
- Maintaining recreation facilities.
- Assisting with recreation programs and events.
Required profile
- Class 3 (Tandem) driver’s licence.
- Class 5 (Standard) driver’s licence.
- Class 8 (Traction) driver’s licence.
- Class 9 (Air Brakes) driver’s licence.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Clean driver’s abstract (recent).
Required skills
- Operating heavy equipment.
- Valid Class 3, 5, 8 and 9 driver’s licences.
