Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, part‑time Cashier to join our locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Toronto. You will be the face of the store, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate checkout service while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately scan items, enter product data and process payments, coupons, lottery tickets and PC Optimum rewards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and ensure proper merchandising of designated sections.
• Follow loss‑prevention standards, control cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Comply with health, safety, uniform and store policies.
• Perform additional duties as required, such as handling receipts and returns.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
• Organized, able to balance teamwork and efficiency during busy periods.
• Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to present a professional image in accordance with dress‑code guidelines.
