About the role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable cashier to join our team at Garden Fresh Food & Grocery in Vancouver. This full‑time permanent position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments while providing essential front‑of‑house support.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and process cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
- Scan items, bag merchandise, and weigh produce and bulk foods.
- Receive payments for goods and services and ensure accurate transaction totals.
- Tabulate total payment for goods or services required.
- Calculate and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
- Greet customers and provide courteous service throughout their shopping experience.
Required profile
- No formal degree required; a certificate or diploma is not mandatory.
- Prior experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Supportive environment with awareness training for youth employees.
