Part-time Retail Sales Associate

About the role

The Spirit Guide – Retail Sales Associate (Part‑Time) at 1933 Liquor Co. in Vancouver, BC. You’ll be the face of the boutique wine and liquor store, helping customers discover new wines, craft beers, spirits, and local favorites while handling the till, stocking shelves, and supporting store events.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Recommend products, suggest pairings, and help customers discover something new
• Run the POS efficiently and accurately, processing cash, debit, and credit transactions
• Receive deliveries, unload pallets, and restock shelves with cases and bottles
• Apply price tags, update signage, and set up promotional displays
• Pack online orders for the website and delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Skip)
• Support in‑store tastings, events, and product activations
• Maintain store cleanliness – dusting, sweeping, cleaning spills, organizing the back area
• Bring positive energy to every shift

Required profile

• Friendly, sharp, and customer‑focused
• 19+ with a valid Serving It Right certificate (or able to obtain before start date)
• Available evenings and weekends
• Comfortable on your feet for full shifts and able to lift up to 50 lb
• Genuine interest in wine, beer, or spirits
• Reliable, on time, and easy to work with
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
