About the role
Join the Cash Management team at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation for an 8‑month co‑op (January to August 2027). You will work on high‑volume cash activities, liquidity reporting, and financial modelling while supporting the team’s short‑term funding decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Support complex cash activities and daily liquidity reporting, primarily using Bloomberg.
- Assist with cash reconciliation across BCI and prepare detailed reports.
- Develop and improve financial models, applying AI tools for analysis and automation.
- Execute testing procedures and step in on operational tasks as needed.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the department and management.
Required profile
- Fundamental knowledge of business and investment concepts.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Interest in investment management and a learner’s mindset.
- Team‑first attitude and adaptability to new technologies.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg.
- Knowledge of R‑studio, Python, or Power BI (optional).
