Carpenter – Construction & Renovation

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to interpret blueprints, prepare layouts, and construct a variety of structures across multiple sites. The role involves hands‑on building, installation, and supervision of work crews.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Supervise other workers and maintain, repair or renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of carpentry experience.
• On‑the‑road job requiring travel between sites.
• Recognized employer under government programs.
