About the role
Edge Grain is seeking a skilled carpenter to join its construction team in Victoria on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves working on a dusty construction site, building and installing structural components while adhering to building codes. The successful candidate will contribute to high‑quality builds and collaborate with site teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare compliant layouts.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel to build foundations, floor beams, sub‑flooring, walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of carpentry experience.
- Carpenter Trade Certification.
- Ability to work day shifts in a dusty construction environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Accurate use of measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
