Camp Store Leadership - Schools & Retreats 2027

About the role

Muskoka Woods is a Christian youth development organization on the shores of Lake Rosseau, offering summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development. Its Hospitality team provides excellent customer service to guests, staff and visitors. The Camp Store Leadership role works alongside the full-time Camp Store Manager to create an outstanding experience for staff and guests, and is part of the broader Leadership Team.

This is a 12-month contract carried into the Summer Camp program (June to August). It runs from January 3, 2027 to either June 20 or September 3, 2027, depending on whether the candidate chooses a 6-month placement or extends through summer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide top-notch customer service and keep a welcoming, clean and organized environment
• Help train program staff and supervise shifts
• Handle till reconciliation and receive and manage inventory
• Contribute to staff ministry initiatives and staff care, such as planning staff events, leading small groups, and supporting Staff Development weeks and the One to One mentoring program
• Attend all staff meetings, including Cadence and Small Group
• Work in other areas such as program, dishwashing, housekeeping, grounds keeping, snow removal and office coverage

Required profile

• Personal values matching the MW Core Values, including a passion for working with children and youth
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs, work 7-9 hours at a time, and stoop, bend and crouch
• Must live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of the contract
