Business Development Partner – Southern Alberta & Saskatchewan

About the role

The Business Development Partner will build and maintain strong relationships with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other eye‑care professionals across Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan. The role focuses on consultative selling, territory growth, and delivering value‑added solutions from CooperVision’s CVI product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets based on the territory quota.
• Conduct a minimum of six customer meetings per workday and maintain a disciplined call cycle.
• Develop and present account business plans for top customers and quarterly growth plans.
• Integrate and train customer offices on CVI technology, tools, and services.
• Prepare and monitor customer marketing plans and promotions to ensure ROI.
• Use CRM daily to report on product, account sales and territory growth.
• Participate in provincial and regional optical shows and travel 10‑15% for conferences and trainings.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
• Positive, constructive attitude and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of sales experience, preferably in the optical or related medical/technical healthcare field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, though strong sales performance may substitute.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CRM tools for sales reporting and analysis.
