About the role

GDI is seeking a relationship‑focused Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition and partnership growth in the Edmonton, Alberta market. You will act as a trusted advisor, crafting strategic proposals and delivering tailored facility‑maintenance solutions that drive long‑term value for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage new and existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and presenting customized service offerings.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships through transparent communication and consistent follow‑up.
• Conduct market research to uncover growth opportunities and recommend strategic approaches.
• Coordinate proposals, presentations, site visits, and client events to reinforce trust and showcase GDI capabilities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, pricing, and proposal teams to ensure timely, high‑quality client responses.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, meeting notes, and pipeline updates.
• Represent GDI at industry associations and events to enhance market visibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within facility services or related B2B sectors.
• Strong client‑centric mindset with a track record of building lasting relationships.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
