Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand and nurture relationships with mortgage broker partners across Canada. The role blends sales and service, focusing on long‑term partnership development to support our growth strategy in alternative mortgage lending.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a growth strategy aimed at broker satisfaction and lasting relationships.
• Identify and target potential broker partners whose needs align with our product suite.
• Conduct visits and presentations with new and existing broker referral partners within an assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the Chief Sales Officer and business development team to uncover expansion opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competition, and market conditions.
• Provide post‑sale support and gather feedback from broker partners.
• Represent Alta West Capital at industry events, including occasional travel and overnight stays.
• Prepare weekly itineraries, expense reports, and quarterly/annual business plans.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proven experience in relationship building, business development, and customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Passion for real estate and familiarity with mortgage markets.
• Comfortable leveraging social media for outreach and networking.
