Business Development Manager – Insurance Sales

About the role
This position focuses on driving growth across insurance distribution channels in Canada. You will work closely with agencies and brokers to promote complex insurance solutions, strengthen partnerships, and expand market presence within a defined region.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with insurance agencies and brokers to promote product adoption and revenue growth.
- Deliver presentations, seminars, and workshops explaining complex insurance solutions and value propositions.
- Analyze regional market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Support submission processes, accelerate deal cycles, and manage special cases to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare performance reports, sales dashboards, and business reviews to track progress and identify growth areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance tools, training, and product effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and internal policy requirements in all activities.
Required profile
- 4‑6 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or wealth management.
- Valid life insurance license and relevant financial or insurance certifications (financial planning designation preferred).
- Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and financial planning concepts.
- Proven ability in consultative sales and relationship management.
- Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
