Business & Data Analyst

About the role

This position provides advanced data analytics, validation, and visualization support for finance‑led special projects. The analyst will turn complex clinical, operational, and financial data into clear insights that guide executive decision‑making and drive strategic improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, integrate, and structure complex datasets from multiple clinical, operational, and financial systems.
• Lead data quality assessment, validation, and reconciliation to ensure reliable reporting inputs.
• Independently analyze data to uncover trends, cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop executive‑level dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Power BI) and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support priority initiatives such as cost‑saving and process‑optimization projects through targeted analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate and standardise data flows and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Laboratory Operations, and Digital & Data teams to define requirements and deliver aligned insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of data analysis experience, preferably in healthcare, public sector, or complex operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to non‑technical and executive audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (data manipulation, Power Query, data modelling)
• Power BI or similar visualisation tools
• Working knowledge of SQL (asset)
