About the role
We are seeking a reliable Building Superintendent to maintain cleanliness and safety of our facilities in Vancouver. The role involves daily cleaning, minor repairs, and snow removal, working with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment.
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, carpet cleaning and waxing machines.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 2 to less than 3 years of cleaning or building maintenance experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle repetitive tasks and lift up to 30 lb.
- Dependable, organized, good oral and written communication.
Required skills
- Operation of industrial vacuum cleaners and power sweepers.
- Use of carpet cleaning and waxing machines.
- Proficiency with power tools, power lawn mowers and snowblowers.
