Brewing Intern – 15‑Week Summer Internship

About the role

The 15‑week Brewing Intern role at Labatt’s Edmonton brewery offers hands‑on experience working on a strategic project that impacts brewery operations. Interns collaborate with Brewmasters, Brewing Managers and cross‑functional teams across brewhouse, cellar and fermentation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver a strategic project that improves brewery operations.
• Identify opportunities to increase process efficiencies.
• Lead a brewery improvement project focused on performance, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Brewmasters, Brewing Managers, frontline teams and cross‑functional partners to gain experience across brewhouse, cellar and fermentation.
• Analyze brewing, fermentation, quality and operational metrics to optimize yields and reduce variability.
• Participate in daily operational reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support brewing quality, food safety, sanitation (CIP/SIP), laboratory testing, sensory evaluation and regulatory compliance.

• Be enrolled in a 2nd or 3rd‑year undergraduate program in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business or a related field, returning to school in September 2027 and graduating December 2027 or later.
• Legal right to work in Canada and be of legal drinking age.
