Breakfast Cook

About the role

The Breakfast Cook will join the culinary team aboard the MV Isabelle X/Saga‑Company vessels operating out of Squamish, BC. Working on a rotational three‑year schedule, you will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast buffets and grab‑and‑go items for crew and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the First Cook in organizing and preparing breakfast buffets and grab‑and‑go stations according to the menu.
• Maintain the cold bar and serving line during service hours.
• Ensure food quality, safety, and proper handling procedures at all times.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings and uphold a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Help control inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Support the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff as directed.

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or related training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation and presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Valid MED Domestic Vessel Safety certificate, Crowd and Crisis Management certificate, and marine medical certificate (employer support provided).
