Bilingual IT Administrator – Montreal & Cornwall

About the role

The IT Administrator provides daily technical support to end‑users across Montreal and Cornwall, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, hardware, and network connectivity. The role works under the Regional IT Manager and serves as backup support for the Central region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary IT support contact for on‑site users, resolving desktop, network, wireless, and hardware issues promptly.
• Provide remote assistance to off‑site users across multiple sites.
• Support and maintain local network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and scan guns.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware, and ERP production systems.
• Enforce IT security standards such as antivirus, patch management, and data‑protection policies.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects and system upgrades with the Regional IT Manager.
• Document procedures, inventory, and issue resolutions; maintain asset records.
• Support VoIP and digital phone systems and perform Ethernet cabling (CAT5e/CAT6a) tasks.

Required profile

• Fully bilingual in French and English.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to recognize and escalate issues.
• Experience supporting manufacturing‑critical systems, including ERP and production workstations.
• Commitment to IT security, compliance, and confidentiality.
