About the role
The Refresh Specialist ensures uninterrupted productivity by managing the full lifecycle of laptop assets for a pharma client in Edmonton. This six‑month contract role requires fluency in both French and English and focuses on collecting out‑of‑warranty devices, deploying refreshed laptops, and safeguarding data throughout the process.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate retrieval of out‑of‑warranty laptops from internal users and record them according to asset‑management policies.
- Prepare, configure, and deploy replacement laptops that meet organizational standards.
- Track warranty status, identify devices due for replacement, and maintain an accurate hardware inventory.
- Communicate timelines, instructions, and support to end‑users during the refresh process.
- Perform data migration, backup, and secure wiping of retired devices in line with IT security and data‑governance policies.
- Document refresh activities, maintain deployment schedules, and generate status reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with IT support, procurement, and facilities teams to resolve logistical issues.
Required profile
- Bilingual in French and English (both spoken and written).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow asset‑management procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for user interaction and status reporting.
