Banquet Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Banquet Manager to lead the planning and execution of banquet and catering services at our hotel in Kamloops. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality guest experiences, and managing staff and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Determine service offerings and implement operational procedures for banquets and events.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to banquet staff.
• Manage inventory, cost products and services, and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Negotiate contracts with food suppliers and coordinate with clients on catering requirements.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and promote banquet services.
• Address customer complaints, provide exceptional service, and oversee event planning.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education with a Food and Beverage Server Trade certification.
• 1‑2 years of experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality operations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and client‑focused abilities.
• Reliable team player with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime.
• Own transportation or access to public transit.
