Join Real Canadian Superstore in Edmonton as a Bakery Department Manager, leading a vibrant bakery team to deliver exceptional products and service. You will be instrumental in driving sales, profitability, and a welcoming environment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with standards.
• Achieve or exceed sales and profit targets through effective merchandising and inventory control.
• Train, coach, and develop associates in customer service, product knowledge, and visual presentation.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, pricing, and attractive displays.
• Coordinate inventory replenishment with other store departments.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for shoppers and staff.
• Manage departmental expenses and contribute to budget planning.
• Communicate regularly with store management and other department leaders to align on store‑wide goals.
• Identify and recruit talent to strengthen the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework is a plus.
• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a department or specialty store setting.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varied shifts.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
