About the role
We are looking for a motivated baker to join the kitchen team at Darbar Restaurant’s bistro in Moncton. The role involves preparing a variety of baked goods and supporting the overall food service operation. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Requisition and order materials, equipment and supplies needed for baking.
- Prepare and bake mixed doughs and batters according to recipes.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods within the bistro.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of baking experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, days and weekends.
- Willingness to receive on‑the‑job training tailored to youth.
- The position is based in a bistro environment with a focus on fresh, handcrafted items.
