Baker – Airport Café in Victoria

About the role

Join a busy airport café team serving travelers at Victoria International Airport. As a baker, you will create a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and cookies while maintaining high food‑quality standards and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries according to production and catering sheets.
• Follow approved recipes, production standards and use proper equipment to guarantee food safety and consistency.
• Track production records, waste, and product shortages; notify supervisors when supplies run low.
• Maintain proper presentation, portion control, serving temperatures and overall food quality.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and sanitized; store and rotate products correctly.
• Set up the kitchen station daily, requisition and stock necessary food, paper products and condiments.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in a food‑service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) for airport security clearance.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
