AZ Tractor-Trailer Driver (LTL Freight)

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, a Manitoulin Group of Companies, is hiring permanent, full-time AZ tractor-trailer drivers to move LTL and general freight by team across Western Canada, Ontario and the Thunder Bay region. It is mostly a dock-to-dock operation involving travel in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, including all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive teams of LTL and general freight trucks, mostly dock-to-dock, with possible trailer combinations depending on the destination
• Travel in all weather conditions across prairie, hill and mountain terrain
• Complete required training: classroom courses, mountain qualification training with a coach and LCV qualification training

Required profile

• AZ license
• Less than 5 demerits on the commercial abstract
• Ability to drive at night, as most loads depart between 19:00 and 23:00
• Pass a criminal record search (done during the interview at no cost)
