Avionics Component Service Shop Technician

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Avionics Component Service Shop Technician to join our Avionics Component Shop in Toronto. The successful candidate will perform inspection, testing, overhaul and certification of a wide range of aircraft avionics components, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, overhaul and certify avionics components according to approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
• Complete work orders, maintenance releases, inspection records and technical documentation accurately.
• Maintain calibration awareness and operate shop test equipment and tooling safely.
• Support internal and external customers by providing technical expertise and timely turnaround of component servicing.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and compliant with the Safety Management System.
• Participate in training, audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Eligibility to obtain a Transport Canada Shop Certification Authority (SCA).
• Strong background in electronics or electrical systems with solid understanding of electrical and electronic theory.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with dynamic schedules.
