AVA Enterprise Venture Lead

About the role

The AVA Enterprise Venture Lead will own the discovery, validation and early commercialization of AVA’s B2B opportunities, turning concepts into paying customers. You will work closely with users, prospective buyers and Viamo’s product and technology teams to define and test market‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Spend ~60% of time on product discovery: analyze usage data, conduct customer discovery, prioritize segments, design prototypes, define requirements, pricing and unit economics, and convert pilots into scalable products.
• Spend ~40% of time on customer acquisition: build and manage the initial sales pipeline, conduct outreach and demos, develop proposals, negotiate agreements, secure paid design partners and track activity in the CRM.
• Define and track KPIs such as paid validation, repeatability, product validation, commercial viability and scalability.

Required profile

• Proven experience taking a new technology‑enabled product from concept to paying customers.
• Strong product‑discovery and commercialization background, including research, prototyping, pricing and iteration.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity and limited resources, and ability to generate and close early opportunities.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to spend extended time in an African market with regular travel.

Required skills

• Experience in conversational AI, mobile services, fintech, marketplaces, enterprise technology, media, performance marketing or data products.
• Familiarity with Mobile Network Operators and mobile distribution models.
• Analytical approach to experimentation, pricing and unit economics.
