Associate Student Recruiter & Advisor (On‑Campus)

About the role

The Associate Student Recruiter and Advisor supports UBC Okanagan’s on‑campus recruitment strategy by planning, coordinating and delivering innovative programs for prospective domestic students, their families and counsellors. The role blends event management, advising and data analysis to attract qualified applicants and promote inclusive access to university education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver on‑campus recruitment programs, including customized campus tours, live virtual tours and special events for prospective domestic students, parents and counsellors.
• Plan, promote and execute strategic events, handling logistics, partner coordination, staff training and post‑event evaluation.
• Provide one‑on‑one and group advising on admission criteria, program requirements, housing, financial assistance and campus resources.
• Collect and analyse participation data, produce reports and recommend improvements to recruitment strategies.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage diverse audiences including students, families and educational advocates.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence, Indigenous reconciliation and supporting historically underserved populations.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage events, supervise student ambassadors and coordinate with multiple campus units.
