Associate Professor / Professor (Tenure) – Director, Midwifery Program

About the role

The University of British Columbia invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the Midwifery Program within the Department of Family Practice, providing academic leadership and strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and growth of the Midwifery Program.
• Oversee curriculum delivery across multiple campuses and videoconferencing platforms.
• Manage faculty, adjunct, and clinical teaching staff.
• Promote research and knowledge translation in midwifery education and practice.
• Represent the program within the Faculty of Medicine and external partners.

Required profile

• Tenured or tenure‑track appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in health‑education programs.
• Strong record of scholarly activity in midwifery or related fields.
