Associate Manager, Occupational Health & Safety Consulting

About the role

4S Occupational Health and Safety Advisory is a firm offering occupational health and safety services to organizations of all sizes, through consulting, training and its 4SafeCom online management system. The Associate Manager reports to the Senior Manager, Consulting and independently oversees assigned clients and OH&S consulting projects while mentoring other team members. The role is primarily remote, supporting clients in the Ottawa region and travelling across Ontario as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned client relationships independently, acting as the main point of contact and leading site visits and client meetings
• Deliver customized OH&S solutions, monitor accounts receivable and collaborate on client contract renewals
• Pursue upselling and cross-selling of consulting, training and software, and engage clients in seminars and webinars
• Oversee project planning, execution and reporting, and ensure accuracy and compliance of deliverables such as risk assessments, safety manuals and job hazard analyses
• Mentor team members and model professional behaviour and company values
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve the 4SafeCom system and stay current on industry best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, public health, human resources or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in consulting, client management and OHS project delivery
• In-depth knowledge of provincial OH&S legislation and industry best practices
• Valid driver's licence; travel across Ontario may be required

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Project management, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Preferred: CRSP, CRST or other OHS certification, experience with safety management systems, French proficiency, and familiarity with construction, manufacturing or healthcare safety
