About the role
Benson Percival Brown LLP is seeking an experienced associate lawyer to join its Toronto office. The role focuses on personal injury and insurance litigation, offering a blend of courtroom advocacy and strategic case management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage personal injury and insurance litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Participate in pre‑trial conferences, examinations, and appeals as needed.
- Collaborate with senior counsel and support staff to develop case strategies.
Required profile
- 3–7 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance law.
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
