Associate Lawyer – Litigation – Family Law

About the role

McKercher LLP is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join its Family Law Practice Group in Regina. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, enhancing court and mediation skills while supporting the growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law and child protection matters before the courts.
• Manage case files independently with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough legal analysis and provide sound judgment on complex issues.
• Participate in mediation and collaborative dispute resolution processes.
• Contribute to business development and relationship management initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of legal experience focused on Family Law and/or Child Protection.
• Active membership with the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Professionalism, teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Demonstrated relationship‑building and business‑development skills.
