Associate Director – Development & Alumni Engagement

About the role
The Sauder School of Business at UBC seeks an Associate Director to lead major‑gift fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives. This senior development professional will manage a portfolio of high‑potential prospects and collaborate with senior leadership to secure private and public sector support.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit 75‑150 major‑gift prospects, aiming to raise at least $1 M annually.
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Sauder’s priority initiatives.
- Partner with senior management to maximize donor engagement and partnership opportunities.
- Maintain accurate prospect records and reporting in accordance with development best practices.
- Lead a team of development staff and coordinate cross‑functional efforts across the school.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing major‑gift fundraising programs of $1 M+ annual revenue.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with senior donors, alumni, and corporate partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a university environment.
