Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Pediatric Rheumatology

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at McGill University seeks a full‑time clinician‑scientist to join the Contract Academic Staff as an Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical). The appointment is non‑tenure‑track and will involve a blend of clinical care, research, and teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive rheumatology care to children and adolescents at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
• Conduct and lead research projects, dedicating 50‑75% of time to scholarly activities.
• Participate in the Royal College‑accredited Pediatric Rheumatology residency program as a faculty member.
• Contribute to departmental education, mentorship, and academic service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, social work, and psychology.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in pediatric rheumatology.
• Demonstrated record of clinical research and scholarly productivity.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Quebec or willingness to obtain licensure.
• Ability to allocate the majority of effort to research activities.
