Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Pediatric Respirology

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at McGill University is seeking a full‑time Contract Academic Staff member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) to join the Division of Pediatric Respirology. The successful candidate will be based at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and will work primarily within the Sleep and Ventilation program.

Key responsibilities

• Clinical duties: lead pediatric sleep clinics, interpret polysomnography and other sleep diagnostics, manage long‑term non‑invasive ventilation, provide inpatient respiratory consults and weekend coverage.
• Teaching duties: supervise medical students, residents and fellows; contribute to pediatric respiratory and sleep medicine training programs; deliver interdisciplinary education for nurses and respiratory therapists.
• Academic duties: participate in academic rounds, conduct clinical research, quality‑improvement projects, program innovation and service activities within the university.

Required profile

• MD degree or equivalent with licensure from the Collège des médecins du Québec.
• Specialty training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Respirology with certification by the Collège des Médecins du Québec or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
• Formal training in Pediatric Sleep Medicine.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills.
